Findings from a process evaluation of a statewide residential substance abuse treatment program for youthful offenders

This article examines factors associated with effective substance abuse treatment programs for juvenile offenders in the Texas criminal justice system. Findings indicate that the appropriateness of program placement, client behavior, and program performance significantly influence treatment progress and the likelihood of program completion.
