Abstract

Crystallographic studies demonstrate that the S113E complex, containing isocitrate dehydrogenase, isopropylmalate, NADP, and magnesium ions, exhibits alterations in global and active site structures. the altered complex together with host of other related changes cause switching of the substrate specificity.
