National security or international solidarity?

This article discusses the effects of globalization on the wages and conditions of workers, which labor unions seem unable to protect. Issues include third world countries efforts to manage workers' conditions, the lack of global policies to protect the poor, international labor migration and the increasing economic insecurity of U.S. workers.
