Abstract
- This study explores the relationship among left-behind adolescent's perceived discrimination, parent-adolescent cohesion, resilience and school adaptation. A total of 460 students from rural middle school were tested, using Perceived Discrimination Questionnaire, Parent-Adolescent Cohesion Questionnaire, Resilience Scale, and School Adaptation Scale. Correlation analysis shows that perceived discrimination is negatively correlated with resilience and school adaptation, while parent-adolescent cohesion is positively correlated with resilience and school adaptation. Further analysis reveals that resilience plays a mediating role between perceived discrimination and school adaptation; the first stage of the indirect effect is moderated by parent-adolescent cohesion. This study provided a better understanding on left-behind adolescent's perceived discrimination and school adaptation, and threw light on the improvement of left-behind adolescent's school adaptation.<br />Author(s): Guoqing Lv [sup.1] , Yan Zhou [sup.1] , Qian Bing [sup.1] Author Affiliations: (1) grid.411351.3, 0000 0001 1119 5892, Department of Psychology, School of Education Science, Liaocheng University, , [...]
