Meet General Agent John W. Cronin, CLU, ChFC

Connecticut Mutual general agent John W. Cronin has been named Managers Magazine's 1988 Best Article Winner. Cronin believes the most important aspect of his job is running an enterprise that is solvent. He has a certain style of management which includes maintaining an 'open door' policy for talking with his agents; emphasizing motivation; de-emphasizing personal selling; and defining specific expansion goals each year. Cronin believes much of his success has depended on the success of his agents, and the most positive aspect of managing an agency has been seeing his associates grow.
