Abstract: Association and adherence were tested for the fimbriated strain MG155 of Escherichia coli and Mytilus galloprovincialis Lam. hemocytes, using hemolymph serum and incubation. Findings indicate that bacterial survival and persistence within the mussel hemolymph are significantly influenced by surface properties.
