Abstract

The LLKIL motif in the carboxyl terminus of the CXCR2 chemokine receptor is necessary for receptor internalization, cell chemotaxis, and adaptin 2 binding. Adaptin 2 is necessary for endocytosis of the receptor, which shuttles between the cell surface and intracellular compartments.
