Abstract
- This study investigates the effects of social status on intergroup perception. Results indicate that both high and low status groups demonstrated an out-group homogeneity bias, or the perception that the out-group is less diverse, while low-status groups demonstrated a more pronounced ethnocentrism bias, or a perception of in-group superiority.
