Abstract
- This study uses vignettes of African American children with internalizing and externalizing problems to assess the attitudes of teachers, parents, and clinicians towards the seriousness of the problems and intervention needs. Black adults rated the problems as more serious than whites in both conditions, but were more optimistic about the children's prognoses.
