Abstract
- This article attempts to explain why forbearance for insolvent banks happens by using stockholders' appeal to courts for monetary damages and reversal, from which precedents now exist. The postponement of receivership of insolvent banks occurs when the investors' pricing of stock and the accountants' assessment of solvency do not support this action by regulators.
