Chlor-Alkali Industry Review 2020-2021: Hydrogen use. [1 figure in original article]

Euro Chlor produces some 270,000 tonnes/y of hydrogen on average. Even though it is our ambition for 2030 to use 100% of this, currently we do not. This year, hydrogen utilization even decreased from 89.1% in 2019 to 82.3% in 2020, which is the lowest figure in 19 years. This may be explained by less stable production levels, making it more difficult to utilize the hydrogen outlet. A graph shows the rate of hydrogen use in chlorine production from 2001 to 2020.
