Abstract
- Nikolai Nikolaevich Luzin's work on continuous functions in the early 20th century was influenced by French textbooks, especially the research of J. L. Lagrange and A. L. Cauchy. Attempts to restore infinitesimals derive directly from Luzin's thought.
