Abstract: Molecules designed to suppress hematopoiesis must contain a helical motif to bind to the receptor on hematopoietic progenitor cells and a DLQ motif to activate the receptor. This was the conclusion of a study on chemokine-derived peptides capable of suppressing hematopoiesis.
