Abstract
- The future looks bright for non-PC Internet appliances, with IDC estimating that 89 million such devices will be sold annually by 2000. Six Net appliances already available in Australia are identified and described: the $899 Ericsson iPhone; the $1,299 Ericsson MC218; the $949 Nokia 7110; the $1,999 Nokia 9110 Communicator; the $499 Sega Dreamcast; and the $699 Spirit Set Top Surfer.
