Composition and flux of particulate amino acids and chloropigments in equatorial Pacific seawater and sediments

Research on Pacific Ocean samples shows little meridional difference in amino acid or pigment composition despite significant fluxes. Findings also show that suspended particles were less degraded in the southern hemisphere than in the northern hemisphere, possibly as a result of variation in their respective food chains.
