The Bacillus subtilis GTP binding protein Obg and regulators of the sigma (sup)B stress response transcription factor cofractionate with ribosomes

Research indicates that Obg is a GTP binding protein and participates in the stress activation of sigma factor B in Bacillus subtilis. Data further suggest that Obg and sigma factor B functions are possibly mediated by the ribosomes.
