The Bacillus subtilis yabG gene is transcribed by SigK RNA polymerase during sporulation, and yabG mutant spores have altered coat protein composition

Results show that yabG gene is expressed only during sporulation of Bacillus subtilis. Data further indicate that the gene encodes a sporulation specific protein which has role in the coat protein composition.
