Abstract
- Profit potential has made stocks in the electrical equipment industry more timely for the year 2000, even though this is a mature industry. Mergers, productivity enhancements, cost-cutting, and new products are the main influences for earnings in this sector, but there are economic variables to be considered. Investors should consider only those stocks that are timely.
