In search of ... minority copy editors

Newspapers in the US are implementing a range of initiatives as they seek to recruit and retain copy editors of colour. They recognize that greater cultural diversity among copy editors helps to boost the overall accuracy of the newspaper. A program at Hearst Newspapers includes a copy editor, two reporters and a photographer, with each doing four job rotations over two years.
