Abstract
- Stoichiometry is a difficult subject to teach secondary school students but it is essential for understanding qualitative and quantitative chemical reactions. It is therefore essential that teachers design and use appropriate strategies to address these difficulties and to help students become conceptual problem solvers. A new study of students' problem solving strategies classifies them into three categories: correct, incorrect and incomplete strategies. Details of the study are further presented.
