Template-directed one- and two-dimensional copper(II) diphosphonates: structures and characterizations of (NH (sub)4) (sub)2 Cu (sub)3 (hedp) (sub)2 (H (sub)2 O) (sub)4, [NH (sub)3 (CH (sub)2) (sub)4 NH (sub)3]Cu (sub)3 (hedp) (sub)2 . 2H (sub)2 O, and [NH (sub)2 (C (sub)2 H (sub)4 ) (sub)2 NH (sub)2]Cu (sub)3 (hedp) (sub)2 (hedp=1-hydroxyethylidenediphosphonate)

Research has been conducted on the three new copper(II) diphosphonates. The synthesis and characterization of these diphosphonates by the single-crystal structural analysis is presented.
