Stereoselective three-carbon and two-carbon elongation of the carbon chain in N-Boc-protected alpha-aminoacylsilanes: an entry to functionalized beta-amino alcohols and to statine analogues

A study concerning the synthesis of enantiopure beta-amino alcohols is presented. Results indicate that stereoselectivity is dependent on the protecting group type and on the allylating reagent.
