Abstract
- If a test project succeeds, dental students will trade 400 lbs. of paper for a DVD disk. Updated each semester, the disk would contain all the materials for 4 years worth of courses. The price would be about the same, about $3000 to $4000, as the textbooks, but students like the idea being able to carry a laptop, instead of a stack of heavy books. Having access to all the material through a computer also means it is easier to search across the whole curricula for specific information.
