Sequence- and stereospecific conformational rearrangement of styrene oxide adducts located at A.C mismatched base pairs

Results show that DNA sequence influences cytosine mispairing with R-type styre oxide (SO) and S-alpha type SO adducts and their stability is dependent upon pH. These observations are correlated with in vivo site-specific mutagenesis data.
