Abstract

Research has been conducted on the lithiation at the 2-position of the purine ring. The use of 6-chloro-9-(2,3-O-isopropylidene-5-O-trityl-beta-D-ribofuranosyl)-8-(triisopropylsilyl)purine during lithiation is discussed.
