Abstract
- One form of autoimmune lymphoproliferative syndrome II (ALPS II) involves a mutation in the gene for CASP 10. CASP 10 is involved in lymphocyte apoptosis, and the resulting defect in apoptosis causes an abnormal accumulation of T and B cells and autoimmune disease.
