Pilgrimage to the past; an African-American's lifelong search for identity

An African American photographer recounts a lifelong study of the culture and traditions of the Africans as mirror images of the ones with which he had grown up. He tried to reconnect with what his people had left behind so many centuries ago in Africa and, in so doing, discovered there the vast evidence of past civilizations.
