Mold change time slashed with magnetics

Heating and air conditioning manufacturing company Valeo Climate Control reduced its mold changing time using magnetic platens. Magnetic platens, such as Technomagnate platens, can hold large die pieces. The mold change time is down to 16 minutes from 30 minutes. The UK-based company accomplished the time cut-down by streamlining mold-handling procedures such as mold mounting and clamping. Valeo still looks for ways to decrease its mold change time to 10 minutes.
