Abstract
- A 32-day-old girl was admitted to a hospital because of a mass in her abdomen. She had been diagnosed prenatally. A CT scan after birth showed the mass was near her left adrenal gland. The adrenal glands are on top of the kidneys. Surgery showed that the mass was part of her lung that had protruded below the diaphragm. Microscopic examination of tissue samples showed that she had a type 2 congenital cystic adenomatoid malformation.
