Production and characterization of monoclonal antibodies against the hemolysin BL enterotoxin complex produced by Bacillus cereus

Monoclonal antibodies against the hemolysin BL (HBL) enterotoxin complex from Bacillus cereus are discussed relative to production and characterization. Five hybridoma cell lines that produced the antibodies were established and studied. An effort was made to achieve monoclonal antibodies that would improve specific detection of the components of HBL and be effective in the screening of B. cereus isolates for enterotoxic activity.
