Europe-wide ATC strategy urged by IATA; says governments must act quickly in adopting reforms to stem an alarming rise in air traffic-related delays

Using alarming language to make a point, the IATA is urging the adoption of a strategy to improve the crisis-level of air traffic delays over airports in Europe. The strategy calls for a new plan, the inclusion of the EU in Eurocontrol and regulatory powers, the expansion of capacity planning to all of Europe instead of just member states, liberalizing Air Traffic Services, and creating incentives to make the new strategies work.
