Abstract
- An exhibition of the works of lithographer, oil painter, colourist and cartoonist Honore Daumier, who worked in Paris, France, in the middle decades of the 19th century, is being staged at the Galeries Modernes du Grand Palais in Paris, France. He regarded the many cartoons he produced for newspapers as merely a way of earning money, while his oil paintings were largely a private hobby. His watercolours were both a hobby and a means of raising money from collectors. The lay-out of this exhibition keeps these areas separate.
