Abstract
- A structural analysis of the eastern segment of the Periadriatic Fault and its southern and northern vicinity in north and northeast Slovenia has made it possible to gain a more detailed insight into the Miocene-Pliocene evolution of the Slovenian segment of the Periadriatic Line. Discordant Karpatian and Badenian sediments over deformed Paleogene rocks indicate that dextral slip occurred in the early Miocene. This deformation led to the initial disruption of the Paleogene basin into North Hungarian and Slovenian subbasins.
