Abstract

A study was conducted to characterize the preparation and physical features of a series of unique fluorene pi-electron acceptors. Results indicated that the organic compounds support three separate reversible single-electron reduction processes. Findings also suggested that the derivatives support critical acceptor molecular function associated with the development of organic semiconductors, photoconductors and conductors.
