Abstract

Research was conducted to examine two kinds of trilayer structures, namely Pt/Co/Pt grown on Al2O3(0001) monocrystalline substrate and Pt/Co/Au deposited on float glass. Spectroscopic magneto-optic Kerr rotation experiments were performed on Pt/Co interfaces. Results demonstrate drastic change in the 400-500 degrees C temperature range with a strong increase of the interface anisotropy and of the saturated magneto-optical Kerr rotation near 350 microns.
