Religious colleges gain support in effort to avoid championship games on Sundays

Religious colleges are petitioning the National College Athletics Association (NCAA) to overturn a decision that would have discontinued the rule allowing sports players to avoid championship games played on Sundays due to religious convictions. The colleges have the support of many secular institutions and continue to press the NCAA to renegotiate.
