Abstract

A study measured the electrical characteristics of two similar, multilayered thin films composed of an yttrium barium copper oxide layer, a La4ba4Cu5O13 capping layer and an ultra-thin gold contact layer. Current-voltage characteristics of these samples measured in the flux creep regime showed that they present a low depinning current/critical current ratio and high maximum vortex velocity values within a large temperature range. Experimental methods and findings are presented.
