Abstract

Major US hotels are conducting marketing research on profiles, needs and services desired by women business travelers. At present, women comprise 40% of all business travelers in the US, amounting to 17.2 million women. Within the next 10 years, women business travelers are expected to outnumber men. Among the factors which women travelers considered most important in choosing hotels were security features, convenience, responsive service, affordable prices and brand recognition.
