Abstract: Commercial mortgage rates suffered in Jul 1999 due to market conditions, as did other types of loans in the same period. Part of the problem included the introduction of numerous new offerings by institutions that do not want to experience computer problems due to any Y2K glitches in their programs that would occur with 4th qtr 1999 releases.
