Abstract

This is the result of a randomized trial to determine how effective, if at all, a combination of zidovudine, zalcitabine and interferon alpha 2a might be for patients with HIV infection. The interferon was temporarily effective but at the cost of increasing blood toxicity and causing unpleasant side effects.
