Abstract

A study on the nucleoside diphosphate kinases reports a kinetic analysis of the nucleoside diphosphate kinase reaction using a series of thymidine diphosphate analogues modified at the 3'-position of deoxyribose. The dependence of kinetic parameters on viscosity was investigated to compare catalytic efficiencies with normal and modified substrates. The experiment also determined the crystal structure of Dictyostelium nucleoside diphosphate kinase complexed with 3'-fluoro-2',3'-ddUDP.
