Abstract

A study was conducted to analyze whether extracellular ATP could promote P(sub 2Z)/P2X(sub 7) receptor-dependent apoptosis of dendritic cells. The immortalized dendritic cell line was obtained from Balb/c mouse spleen. Experimental results indicated that dendritic cells express a functional P(sub 2Z)/P2X(sub 7) receptor capable of starting apoptosis after its engagement by ATP(sub 0).
