Black hole for banks?

Banks are well-prepared for the Year 2000 date change problem if the results of a survey conducted by 'The Banker' magazine would be used as evidence. According to the survey of the world's top 1,000 banks, banks expect their business-critical computer systems to be fully compliant either by the end of Jun 1999 or Dec 1999. Moreover, banks are allocating time and resources to contingency planning and testing of computer systems in anticipation of the millennium bug.
