Abstract

Structural changes of diamond film surfaces deposited through a combustion-flame technique were studied with varying temperatures of the substrates made of Mo, Si and W. The crystal faces of the deposited diamonds changed from (111) to (100) with increased substrate temperatures. The appearance of the (100) faces was at about 1200 K for the Mo substrate and at approximately 1100 K when using the Si or W substrate.
