Abstract
- A study was conducted to analyze the characterization, structure and reactivity of a novel enantiomerically pure ortho-metalated rhodium(II) dimer. Several strategies to determine complexes as single enantiomers were carried out. Absolution configurations were obtained using crystals prepared from solutions supporting pyridine and trifluoroacetic acid. Results supported the assumption that catalytic reaction occurs through a dirhodium-carbenoid species.
