Abstract

The nuclear magnetic resonance relaxation of solvent nuclei in non-viscous paramagnetic solutions has been investigated. The study focused on the situation in which the electronic spin of the paramagnetic species is not free, but is submitted to a hyperfine field, Hhyp, due to a nuclear spin K of the radical molecule. A theoretical model which accounts for the intermolecular longitudinal relaxation rate due to dipolar magnetic coupling has been developed.
