Abstract

Experiments were performed to investigate the dynamic behavior of nanocrystalline and polycrystalline LiNbO3. Temperature-dependent nuclear magnetic resonance studies were performed. The diffusion-induced 7lithium (7Li) spin-lattice relaxation rate was measured. In addition, the activation energy and jump rate of ionic motion were also examined. A higher ion mobility was observed in the n-system and was attributed to the reduced activation energy of 0.27 eV. An improvement in Li diffusivity was observed and attributed to the higher ion mobility in the interfacial regions.
