Art and anxiety in Los Angeles

Three art museums in LA are evaluated for their exhibits, as well as their accessibility to the public. Getty Center's ad which directs museum goers to other museums in LA is criticized. The problem with the Getty Center is its inaccessibility which, critics charge, is tantamount to elitism. The Armand Hammer Museum's exhibit on Disney art is uninspiring and uncritical. On the other hand, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art exhibited Bill Viola's art to a large audience, showing that there is hope in the arts after all.
