A stitch in time: a simulation of cellular manufacturing

Excessive lead tames and high work-in-process inventories plague many manufacturing companies. Our study looks at the possibility of implementing a cellular layout through the use of computer-aided simulation. Of the four general manufacturing types, we determined that cellular manufacturing was the method that would most benefit Company X.
