Abstract
- A study was conducted to determine whether genetic interactions lead to hybrid offsprings with lower levels of viability and fertility. The nuclear and cytonuclear epistatic interactions in two Louisiana iris species, Iris fulva and I. brevicaulis, were investigated using cpDNA and randomly amplified polymorphic analyses. Results show that genetic interactions do not affect the fitness of hybrid genotypes.
